My Glasgow based client are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join their team on a 12 month fixed term contract, potential to extend. The role will be to build and optimise data systems using technologies such as SQL and AWS.

Responsibilities

* Working directly with the data analytics team to drive the optimisation of company data

* Design and build the infrastructure, loading the data from various sources

* Build data and analytic tools allowing the deeper insight for critical business performance

* Develop and support reports for analytical solutions

Key Skills

* NoSQL and SQL

* Big Data Technologies such as Azure and Hadoop

* Building and optimising big data pipelines, architectures and data sets for machine learning and analytics

* Object-oriented/ object-function scripting languages such as Java, C#, C++ or Python

Desirable

* Reporting tools such as SSAS, SSRS, SSIS, or PowerBI

* Machine Learning algorithms and modelling techniques
