IT Technical Support Engineer (6 month FTC)

IT Technical Support / 1st Line / 2nd Line / Birmingham / West Midlands

My market leading client based in Birmingham requires an IT Technical Support Engineer to join their growing IT team based at their Midlands Head Office. This will be on a 6 month FTC initially with the scope to go permanent.

Responsibilities include:

*Smooth operation of company Endpoints, PC's, Printers etc.

*Configure and maintain PC/Laptop/iPad/iPhone/Printers etc.

*Provide First/Second line support

*Monitoring of the operating environment

*Resolution of new and outstanding service requests and fault tickets;

*Practice IT asset management, including maintenance of component inventory and related documentation

*Provide Training and Support to end users.

Key skills required:

*Strong customer service orientation

*Understanding of Microsoft Windows Servers, PC's MS Office Applications.

*Minimum 3 years plus previous experience in a Windows Server/Client Environment.

*AD Systems Administration

*Strong Computer hardware configuration skills.

*Extensive practical experience resolving PC problems.

*Understanding of basic Infrastructure concepts, Server/Client interoperability and TCP/IP networking.

*Awareness of network data security issues - including antivirus skills.
