Network Infrastructure Delivery Manager

Location: Manchester, City Centre

Rate: £475

Duration: 3 Months - Extensions likely

A client in the City Centre of Manchester are looking for a delivery manager to join their team for an initial 3 month contract with plenty of work in the pipeline for possible extensions.

You will need to develop and maintain an effective relationship with teams across the IT organisation & partners, being accountable for a team of network engineers.

Your Role

* Installation of the second WAN switch

* Installation of networked power distribution unit to feed protected mains power to MSN equipment

* Establishment of distribution network links by patching fibre between the ODF and the WAN switch

* Removal of the TVM firewall and patching directly to the WAN switches

* Complete identified remedial work on several lines

* Labelling of all fibre and Cat6 patch leads, MSN equipment

About You

* Proven experience with WAN

* Proven experience working within 24/7 IT operational environment

* Proven experience coordinating taking a lead role with at least 2 reports

A minimum of 5 years experiencing working as a senior technical expert in the following fields:

* Delivering network related projects

* WAN technologies

* Good understanding of MSN equipment

* Good understanding of firewalls

* Experience with Agile

*

The following skills being highly desirable:

* Security technologies

* Proven experience in managing 3rd party WAN Services

* Proven experience delivering continuous service improvements for the business

* Extensive knowledge of analytic techniques and methods and problem-solving skills

* Experience of working with outsource partners and delivering solutions into support
