This well established busy web design and marketing company is looking for an enthusiastic and creative web designer to work alongside the design and development team producing websites and artwork for a wide variety of clients.

At 17 years old they have lots of loyal clients, are great to work for and they even leave early on Fridays!

The right candidate will:

- Be enthusiastic and have a Can-do; attitude.

- Have a strong interest in graphic design and visual communication.

- Be adaptable and able to pick up new techniques.

- Have a good eye for detail and consistency with excellent organisational skills.

- Be able to communicate (verbally and written forms) well with peers, managers, and clients in order to complete projects in a professional manner.

- Ability to give realistic projected time-frames and work to deadlines in a fast past environment with quick turnarounds.

Essential Skills

- Proficient use of Windows (the company does not use Macs)

- A current commercial portfolio showing your understanding of layout, typography and colour used both on web sites and printed artwork.

- Up to date HTML5/CSS3 skills. Able to code to valid current industry standards.

- JavaScript/jQuery knowledge.

- Commercial experience of Bootstrap, ideally with examples showing your creative approach to web design.

- Adobe Creative Suite Skills - InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop / Fireworks, Dreamweaver

- Comprehensive knowledge of web fundamentals & best practices (Accessibility, Usability, Cross Browser/Device Compatibility, Coding Standards etc).

- Basic understanding of SEO techniques & methods.

- Experience of WordPress (we do not use it but some of our clients do!)

Desirable Skills (But not essential)

- Responsive HTML Newsletters and Email Marketing Experience.

- Basic/Some PHP knowledge.

- Relevant Diploma/Degree in graphic
