Job Title: Data Scientist

Duration: 6 Months with likely extensions

Rate: £650 - £750 per day

Location: Hinckley, Leicestershire, UK

Our leading client requires a Data Scientist with a strong knowledge of the Data Science Toolkit (Maths & Stats, Programming, Machine Learning, Communication & Visualisation etc) who evangelises Data Science for a 6 month initial contract to be based in the Midlands

Main Tasks:

*Proactively gather asset, work order and cost related information from various sources

*Improve data quality using machine learning techniques

*Analyses data for better understanding about how the asset performs, and

*Identifying opportunities through the use of machine learning, statistical, algorithmic, mining and visualization techniques.

*Build machine learning prediction model that forecast asset performance.

Role Specifics:

*Demonstrated experience using R, Python or similar to analyse, transform and visualize big data

*Machine Learning framework (TensorFlow, Caffe, Deeplearning4j, MxNet, Theano

*Knowledge of open source big-data technology such as Apache Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Pig, MapReduce

*Use of version control (Git)

*Deep understanding of Machine Learning theory and practice including Linear Algebra, Regression, Logistic Regression, Neural Networks, Support Vector Machines, Recommender Systems

*Must have familiarity with additional Artificial Intelligence disciplines such as Knowledge Representation, Problem Solving, Planning, and Natural Language Processing

Desirable

*Aforementioned skillset with a background in Retail / ecommerce / logistics
