As this advert is being written and posted on a Wednesday (officially known as 'hump day' I believe), I wanted to spare your eyes the pain by keeping this as short (and hopefully) sweet as possible...

I am recruiting on behalf of a Global Enterprise in the Financial Services & Banking space who are looking to hire an experienced Senior Business Analyst as part of a major portfolio of change within the organisation. The role will be based out of their HQ in Knutsford, focusing on a range of duties and responsibilities (detailed below) and offering excellent career progression (both in the short and long term).

They are currently in the midst of a company-wide digital transformation and their Business Analyst function is a key component of that, acting as a conduit between the various departments and focusing on ensuring that projects within this portfolio run smoothly. This role is particularly important to their growth plans, representing a key strategic hire for them in 2018.

In terms of the core duties and responsibilities, rather than simply copying and pasting the official JD, I have decided to highlight the main focus areas below:

Stakeholder Management - First and foremost, your role will be heavily stakeholder-facing with a focus on both managing and influencing stakeholder expectations throughout the duration of the project lifecycle. You will be expected to engage with both internal and external stakeholders (up to C-level), managing any risks and changes whilst ensuring all of the relevant parties are keep fully informed at all times. A proven track record working in a stakeholder-facing role is therefore crucial and necessary when applying for this role.

Payments & Finance Experience - The core focus of this role will sit within their corporate payments function so previous experience working as a Business Analyst within the payments domain is really important. You should be able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end payments lifecycle and workflows, with any knowledge of BACS, FPS, CHAPS, EBA etc also highly desirable to be considered for this role. Previous experience working in either the financial services or banking domain is therefore preferred.

Business Analysis - The title probably gives it away, but a strong commercial background working as a Business Analyst is crucial to be successful in this role. You will be expected to work between the various departments and functions, gathering requirements and ensuring that said requirements are being adhered to during the delivery phase. You should have an understanding of Agile and Waterfall delivery models and should be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience with the core BA toolkit. Any experience working in an enterprise environment is preferred.

Ultimately, I am keen to engage with strong communicators and passionate leaders who want to join an organisation going through a genuinely exciting period of change. In return, you will be rewarded with a competitive base salary as well as a 10% non-contrinutory pension, 25 days holiday, annual bonus and remote working opportunities.

Does that float your boat? (I couldnt think of a better analogy there...). If the answer is a resounding 'yes' then please get in touch.

You can give me a call on either my office line (0191 338 7540) or my mobile (07943721308). Alternatively, you can send me an email to [email protected] or search for 'Liam Haghighat' on LinkedIn (trust me, I am pretty easy to find with my surname!).
