My client is a business to business scientific technology company. Still in its early stages, it has a start up culture and is full of innovative highly skilled employees. With all its success and funding the will be expanding and adding 40 more employees over the next 18 months.

Currently they are a looking for passionate Java Software engineer in cloud development and Embedded Android development as the you will be helping develop their cloud connected microfluidics instruments and be part of a team building cutting-edge products.

You will play a leading role in the construction and integration of software to drive development of instruments from R&D to product launch.

Responsibilities

- Implementations and Maintenance of Android software for embedded and Cloud Applications

- Interfacing with a small team of engineers and scientists to respond to rapid prototype development.

- Develop and improve the current software to support new features and improve the overall reliability.

- Participate and have an input in group and project meetings

- Be happy to communicate the strengths and weaknesses of the company's product line from a software perspective.

Skills required

- Programming experience in Java

- Understanding of operating systems

- Understanding of highly scable Web Services/ Apps and some writing and testing software in these environments

- A willingness to work in both Android/ Linux Kernal development and Cloud application development.

- Some experience or understanding of using open data interchange formats like JSON or XML
