A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Python Developer based in Dunfermline to work with a serial entrepreneur and team to create two, new to the market, progressive web applications. The office is located just off the motorway network and within easy walking distance of a train station. As the Python Developer, your duties will be to: Work closely with the senior technical architect and software engineer to develop the back-end RESTful APIs that will drive the server-side aspects of the applications.Write high quality, testable and maintainable code and should be able to write technical documentation of their code and work. To be a successful Python Developer you will have the following skills and experience: Essential: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical discipline.
Python and server side frameworks, preferably Flask, in a Linux environment.
Designing and developing highly secure JSON-based RESTful APIs.
Expert-level development experience with large database-driven multi-user web applications.
SQL relational database query experience, preferably with MySQL.
Technical specification of features defined as requirements by product owners, preferably including database architectures.
Thorough understanding of web application security issues and secure/defensive coding.
Experience of version control software such as Git.
Working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3. Also useful: Experience developing in a TDD and BDD environment.
Experience of AWS and Docker.
Good verbal and written English language communications skills are essential. E
Experience of working to tight deadlines in an Agile team is essential. In return, the Python Developer will receive a salary of up to £50,000 per annum.
