This role has come through natural growth that the company has been making in the last 12 months, after experiencing a prolonged amount of growth. They're now one of the leading companies within the insurance field, having won a number of awards in the UK and Europe. This is a great opportunity for a DBA to come in and take ownership of their IT systems and provide input and analysis to improve their system.They're very happy to consider a junior to mid-level candidate who would like to develop their career as a DBA, so please feel free to apply! Key responsibilities for the SQL DBA position:

'€¢Installation, migrations and upgrades across the SQL Server Environment'€¢Ensure all databases are available through replication and failover methods'€¢Database recovery tests and restores'€¢Monitor and maintain database maintenance plans'€¢Provide reporting for resolution'€¢Collaborate in software engineering, operations and architecture to deliver solutions and operational support'€¢Create and maintain all associated documentation

Key requirements for the SQL DBA position:

'€¢SQL Server 2008, 2012, 2014'€¢T-SQL'€¢SQL Server Installation, configuration, upgrade, and migration, capacity planning, server sizing, load balancing and integration with other databases such as Oracle'€¢Windows Operating Systems and Web servers'€¢Performance Tuning, Backup recovery, replication, mirroring, administration etc.'€¢Progress Database Administration'€¢Data Warehousing experience
