Engineering Manager/London/Contract/£500-£600
A fantastic opportunity for a Engineering Manager that will present an opportunity to manage a sharp squad of developers being be responsible for mentoring and progressing the team, and for the line management and operation of your product and service areas. You will work with technologies such as Javascript, CSS, AWS, Sacla and Agile/DevOps processes.
The perfect Engineering Manager will have a passion for technology, product development, and fast paced delivery. A proven track record of deivering welll architected web solutions on a large scale and at pace is essential.
The successful Engineering Manager will have a strong background in JavaScript, AWS, CSS, Scala and other modern programming languages with at least two years' experience successfully leading a team of software developers. A good knowledge of running production websites for high volumes on AWS.
As a Engineering Manager you will need to be willing and able to get deep into the technical details and be proactive and innovative in leading your team and developing your software. You will need to have a deep understanding of the business drivers that make the products and services you are developing successful, and how your software contributes to that success.
Key Skills and Requirements
* Experience managing a lively team of developers
* Understand and appreciation of DevOps, CI/CD practices
* Capability to influence the companies technical vision through discussions with peers and management.
* You will have the capability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to hire, goal set, manage and promote
* A good knowledge of running production websites for high volumes on AWS.
* Expertise in JavaScript, CSS, AWS, Scala and other modern languages
