Spring Technology is currently looking for a Freedom of Information (FOI) Officer to be based with our client in Durham on a 3 month initial contract, with a strong chance of extension. This is a good opportunity to secure work with a busy client, who will utilise your knowledge of FOI request management and data protection, to work through a backlog of requests.

This will be a 3 month initial contract and will be paying £11.61 based on a 37 hour week.

If you have knowledge of the Freedom of Information Act and the Data Protection Act, also dealing with FOI requests, then our client would be interested in your profile for a 3 month contract. Our client is looking for on-going support in their information management team, dealing with a back log of requests, so will need your assistance to work alongside the information and records management teams, to provide a high quality service to the customer. You may also need to work with the legal team on certain occasions, ensuring compliance with policy and procedures.

Essential Skills:

*Working knowledge of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Data Protection Act 1988 and related legislation.

*Previous experience of dealing with FOI and DP requests.

*Able to collaborate with multiple teams within the business to ensure procedures are met when dealing with requests.

*Competent with IT
