Project Manager - Data Sensitive projects (GDPR)

My client is looking to bring on an experienced Project Manager who will be focusing on GDPR and other IT based projects, working in both Waterfall and Agile environment to manage multiple products and resource at one time. These projects will revolve around sensitive data, the management of high volume information and following the guidelines of GDPR as that comes into place in the New Year.

Responsibilities

* Define project scope, benchmarks and deliverables to support business development, goals and collaboration with analytic teams, management and stakeholders

* Develop project plans, required communication and documentation ensuring all is relevant and stored following appropriate guidelines

* Identify methodologies for each project, driving the project with correct procedures and tools

* Manage day to day activities and requirements for the projects, ensuring time lines, needs and requests are met

* Work with the teams to ensure successful execution of project works, revising areas where needed to meet needs and requirements

* Mitigate, resolve or escalate and issues within a timely manner, ensuring minimal exposure and risk

* Facilitate frequent and operative status and planning meetings, conducting retrospective discussions, perform analysis and suggest improvement areas with possible solutions

* Make quick, informed decisions about technical problem areas where related to the project

Key Skills

* Knowledge of UK Data Protection Laws and GDPR as legislation changes 25th May 2018

* Success record of managing scope, time and budget across multiple projects, often overlapping and managing multiple projects at one time

* Ability to work directly with developers and other members of the technical team to deliver projects timely

* Deliver high profile software, web or ecommerce projects

Qualifications and Experience

* 3 years + experience as a project manager

* Bachelor's degree in business, IT, or any other degree within an equivalent discipline

* PRINCE2, Scrum Master, PMP or relevant Project Management qualification

* Requirement and defect management experience

* Experience in both Waterfall and Agile environments
