Network Engineer

An exciting position has opened up at one of the UK's leading Business-grade Internet Connectivity, Cloud, Data Centre and IP Voice Carriers. Their customers gain access to one of the most diverse and resilient networks in the UK.

The business is continuously growing and they are looking for an individual to join their dedicated NOC support function. You will be their customer's escalation point providing quality technical support in a friendly and efficient manner.

The company needs someone who is outgoing and detail orientated, who can learn quickly and manage multiple priorities. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and develop a wide variety of skills in the Tech industry and explore your potential.

Responsibilities

- Support and maintenance of networking equipment and customer solutions

- Physical and remote support of data centre and exchange network

- Configuring switches and firewalls

- Implementation and design of new customer infrastructure projects to deadlines

- Maintaining knowledge articles describing the configuration and set up of configuration items

- Adherence to internal processes and industry standards to ensure the delivery of secure and stable services to customers

- Provide outstanding customer service and positive support experience

- Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests and incidents received through the ticketing system

- Ensure that internal and external processes and procedures are followed to guarantee a consistent and quality of service

Requirements

- JNCIE or equivalent network qualification minimum

- CCNA desirable

- Understanding of MPLS and related technologies

- Working knowledge of Linux and Windows server infrastructure desirable

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- A passion for providing five-star rated customer service

- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

- Strong attention to detail and can deliver high-quality work

- An aptitude and willingness to learn new technical disciplines
