Are you an experienced Proposal Manager / Bid Writer? Are you looking for a mix of new clients as well as an established, well known and repeat business, client base? Do you enjoy not only considering but promoting the clients needs when you write a bid / proposal? Are you looking for a role that is looking after the full-process?

Then this is the role for you!

We are looking for someone with a background of writing Technical Proposals / Bids who would be interested in learning about Hosting, Data Management and Earth observation - training will be provided.

As a Proposal Manager, you will be assembling, coordinating and managing proposals and bids - always leading the improvement of the overall written quality of the bids.

You will be communicating with the relevant teams to gain service/product/ business knowledge required to prepare and deliver successful, Corporate, Proposals. The projects you will be working on can take 1-6 months and have a value of £millions. You will be developing existing relationships with clients as well as targeting and evolving relationships with new clients.

This role will require regular UK travel and occasional European travel.

The successful candidate will need to gain UK Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs.            Develop an excellent appreciation of the client needs, include this into the bid / proposals writing process
           Develop a good working relationship with internal and external stakeholders
           Write, review and edit bid submissions
           Lead proposal strategy sessions with key stakeholders
           Establish resource requirements to meet agreed deadlines, work with the resource manager to secure resource allocation and subject matter experts to achieve bid milestones.
           Review and ensure that all the commercial aspects of the supply are recognised by the proposal team and are included in the final price to the client
           Record, track, manage and escalate risk throughout the bid process
           Write up new approaches to service provision to support sales and marketing
           Arrange and record bid debriefs with customer feedback and record lessons learnt

           Effective Technical and commercial proposal writing skills
           Capture planning / Story boarding / Proof reading
           Comprehensive knowledge of bid / proposal techniques and best practise
           Excellent communication skills (proven written & verbal).
           A high attention to detail (consistency and accuracy)
