We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA accountant to join our client in Exeter on a temporary to permanent contract basis.

The post holder will be assisting in the preparation of the financial statements (management accounts / forecasts / budgets) and to support the business operational teams and Finance teams with appropriate financial information / ad hoc projects.

Salary: £24,000 - £26,000

Top 4 Major Tasks and Activities:

* Assist in the Preparation of the monthly management accounts and project review data in line with agreed business timetables

* Provide data (as appropriate) to support the operational teams and Contract Managers

* Produce and develop KPI data and operational reports for distribution

* Assist in the preparation of budgets & forecasts.

Additional Key Accountabilities:

* Ensure balance sheet accounts are maintained and reconciled

* Process monthly recharges across all hubs

* Ensure all work performed is billed on a timely basis

* Work with the Network Services and Support reporting team to forecast weekly cash-flows

* Post payroll journals for all entities in the clients book

* To work with other members of the Education finance team to drive forward continuous improvement

* Performing other ad-hoc tasks as required by the Management Accountants / Finance Manager / Head of Finance

* Conduct regular contract review meetings.

* Ensure practices are within accordance with Education Quality Standards and Health & Safety requirements

* Protect assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference

* Comply with company policies and procedures including the Data Protection Act 1998

Qualifications & Experience:

* Part-Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA

* Excellent Microsoft Excel skills

* Experience of Navision and SAP/BPC would be an advantage

* Willing to undertake occasional travel to other UK sites as required

* Part Qualified or nearing completion
