A new tech start-up is seeking a Front-End Developer based in Dunfermline to join its expanding team. The office is located just off the motorway network and within easy walking distance of a train station. As the Front-End Developer, your duties will be to: Create the interactive front-end of the web applications, along with our back-end engineers who are creating the API endpoints and micro-services that the front-end will use.Ensure the user experience is slick and to specification, developing the JavaScript code that will make the web applications a rich interactive experience by calling the API endpoints and processing the responses.
Write high quality, testable and maintainable code and should be able to write technical
documentation of their code and work. To be a successful Developer you will have the following skills and experience: Essential: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical discipline.
Experience integrating front-end code with JSON-based RESTful APIs.
Experience developing highly interactive web-based applications.
Extremely strong experience with Javascript: React, Redux, ES2017 (ES8).
Strong HTML5 and CSS3 experience (incl e.g. SASS/LESS) with the skill to hand code.
Experience working closely with UI/UX designers and back-end engineers.
Experience of version control software such as Git. Also useful: Experience developing a Progressive Web App.
Experience developing in a TDD and BDD environment.
Experience of AWS and Docker.
Design talent and UI/UX experience.
Good verbal and written English language communications skills are essential.
Experience working to tight deadlines in an Agile team is essential. In return, the Developer will receive a salary of up to £45,000 per annum.
