Senior Risk Analyst - Insurance

City of London

50000 - 60000 per annum

Market leading insurer experiencing a period of growth, currently seeking a Senior Risk Analyst to join their highly successful team.

The remit of the role will include:

* Supporting the Key Risk Reporting process by identifying, assessing, monitoring and reporting risks.

* Supporting the management of the Risk Incident reporting process ensuring that appropriate rectification has taken place, root-cause analysis has been carried out and actions taken in the Business.

* Undertaking the development and production of various risk reports.

* Liaising with the Business functions in the identification, reporting and monitoring of key risk indicators.

* Risk and control analysis activities to enhance the regular risk reporting and support the preparation of the risk opinion. Undertake ad hoc investigations and respond to queries from the UK and Group Risk Teams.

* Risk and control "deep dive" reviews across the business, identifying areas of control improvement and agreeing appropriate actions with local management.

* Ensuring risk reporting processes are documented. Identify and document the associated risks and controls.

* Managing the annual review process for Risk Policies with the relevant Policy owners.

* Supporting the planning and organisation, production of papers and minutes, and ad hoc actions related to the Risk governance meetings (including the Risk Committee, Financial Risk Committee, Board Audit and Risk Committee, and Board).

* Ad hoc tasks in both BAU Risk Management responsibilities and project work as required.

* Input into development of risk appetite metrics and key risk indicators.

The ideal candidate will have gained previous experience in Risk Management or Operational Risk Management, ideally within the insurance or wider financial services sector. Expertise should include documenting and testing processes, risks and controls.
