Technical Business Analyst / System Analyst - Fintech Enterprise SaaS Company

The Technical Business Analyst / System Analyst Role:

We are looking for someone who understands technology, data and SaaS. This role will be a combination of business analysis as well as a system analysis and data management. They will need to be extremely comfortable with reading and understanding databases, various formats of data files (csv, xml, txt), XSDs, APIs etc. and have experience of data mapping, data analysis. You must also be able to create XML documents and XSDs.

You might have come from a background in development/architecture, and should understand SaaS architecture and design. Experience working within a php and AWS environment is handy although not essential - as long as you have worked closely with development teams and can demonstrate a strong knowledge of the SDLC.

Technical Aspects of the Role:

+ Working with our 3rd party software to support data mapping from files of one format to another

+ Understand our data processing processes and looking at ways to improve them

+ Apply business rules and logic to data mapping process

+ Analysis of existing data sources and mapping to our new systems

+ Creation of data dictionaries for various data sources

+ Maintaining XSDs for our various products

+ Support migration of data from one source to another

+ Understand feed files and their place in SaaS software

Business Analyst Aspects of the Role:

+ Write succinct and clear user stories with a focus on technical and system requirements

+ Write full test cases for these user stories

+ Requirements elicitation - gathering requirements from across the business and external stakeholders

+ Create technical design documents

Other Skills

+ Excellent communication skills, with the ability to talk to and present to a range of audiences, sometimes acting as a translator between parties

+ The ability to motivate others and lead change

+ The ability to work under pressure on multiple projects within your project timeframes

+ A passion for creating solutions with a positive attitude to change

+ Excellent analytical skills and an informed, evidence-based approach

+ A strong interest in business and business development

+ A good understanding of information technology

Experience:

+ At least 4 years of working with technical systems, data and as a business analyst

+ Experience of working with SaaS solutions

+ Basic programming experience/appreciation

+ Comprehensive understanding of xml

+ Ideally BCS International Business Analysis Diploma or equivalent

+ Financial/Account/Credit Control department experience is a benefit
