Network Support Engineer - Feltham/Newbury - 3 Month Contract

My client, a leading Network Technology client are looking for a Network Support Engineer to join them in July on a 3 month contract basis. The role will be based primarily from Feltham with some travel to a customer site in Newbury. It can offer a competitive daily rate and the client are keen to speak with candidates in the coming weeks.

Role Information:

* The position is part of a large team of customer focused engineers tasked with dealing with a range of Network issues and being able to provide in-depth routing/switching expertise to one of the largest Service Providers in the UK.

* The team is a reactive service dedicated to the resolution of any issues and the installation and technical training of new tech and services.

* Some travel will be expected over the course of the contract, both to the customer site in Newbury and Ireland.

Required Skills:

* Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Network Engineer or the support of large scale Networks.

* Ideally candidates should hold a CCNP certification and CCIE would be beneficial.

* Any prior experience of working in a Service Provider environment would be beneficial.

* Candidates should also be well versed with core Service Provider technologies such as BGP, MPLS, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS VPN.

* As the role is a customer facing position you will need to have excellent communication skills and be able to work with a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.

* An ITIL Foundation certification and experience of an ITIL environment would be beneficial.
