Spring Technology's notable client based in Manchester are looking for a Test Engineer to envision and lead the development of structures, processes and software relevant to QA of individual services.
This will be a permanent role based in Manchester City Centre and the annual salary will be paying up to £40,000 + holiday / benefits etc.
Key Responsibilities -
- Plan and implement new QA procedures
- Suggest new ideas and solutions to problems
- Test and prove software meets functional and non-functional requirements
- Ensure the quality of the system as a whole
- Develop and automate tests for software validation
- Build regression tests integrated into the CI/CD process
- Detect, log and manage bug issues
- Prepare defect reports and report on test progress
- Test and prove the scalability and performance of software
- Suggest and oversee improvement processes
- Stay up to date with latest technology and best practices
- Developing scripts from scratch to support ad-hoc scenarios and automation.
Essential Criteria -
- At least 2 years of professional experience as a QA, test or automation engineer.
- Experience with the quality control lifecycle.
- Experience with browser automation (e.g. Selenium) and/or good working knowledge of Git.
Desirable Criteria -
- Structured and unstructured databases (e.g. MongoDB, PostgreSQL)
- AWS or other cloud platforms
- Continuous Integration platforms (e.g. Travis CI, GoCD)
- Application containerisation (i.e. Docker and associated tools)
- Elastic stack
- Experience with Python and Java
- Linux, bash (basic scripting)
