Data Analyst
Data Analyst required for a FTSE 250 engineering and support services organisation based in Portsmouth. Working within the Data and Analytics team, you will be responsible for data collection, validation, statistical analysis, modelling and simulation. Due to an increase in defence projects and bid work, a Data Analyst is required to conduct analysis and develop simulations in the support of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform analysis of source systems and data for modelling and simulation
* Design and develop models and simulations to test business options and choices
* Create and maintain technical design documentation for continued development
* Perform coding to a high level which meets business requirements
* Work directly with business users to conduct requirement capture, prototype work and conduct UAT
* Manage data accuracy, assurance, security and consistency
* Conduct historical data analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement
Technical Experience and Qualifications:
* Experience in Business Modelling and Simulation applications including VBA, SPSS, Simul8
* Experienced in creating and managing databases
* Excellent communication skills to be able to engage well with stakeholders and customers
* Full driving licence
* Knowledge of MOD systems (desirable)
Security Clearance:
* You must be eligible for MOD Security Clearance, or already be SC cleared.
