Intermediate Quantity Surveyor / Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor - ManchesterDay Rate: £200 - £250Contract length: 3 - 6 months (very likely extensions)An exciting opportunity for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, with the ultimate goal of progressing through to a Quantity Surveyor position, has become available in the Manchester area. The business is a main contractor, who have worked on multi million pound projects throughout the UK.The business operates within several industry sectors, including Commercial, Retail, Industrial, Healthcare, and Infrastructure amongst many others. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fundamental Quantity Surveying.RoleThe main focus of the role is to support a Lead Surveyor in delivering a variety of construction projects. You will be helping with tasks such as construction package formulation, procurement of sub-contractors, and valuation / costing tasks aiding the Lead surveyor. Requirements
'€¢A sound technical understanding of Quantity Surveying - Ideally educated to a BSc, MSc or Chartered level. (HND / HNC may be acceptable depending on experience)'€¢Experience working with/for a Main Contractor'€¢Experience with Design and Build projects'€¢Great people skills both internally and externally'€¢NON ESSENTIAL - experience with contracts such as JCT, NEC3, ICE
Day to Day role
'€¢Liaising with clients on project progress, milestones, and critical path analysis'€¢All Commercial duties including measurement, valuation and agreement of work sections'€¢Aiding Lead Surveyor in their day to day role, including creation of work packages etc.
