An award-winning media business operating across 4 core markets, providing entertainment and services to over 2million users nationwide are looking for a Lead UX Designer to join its team in London.Reporting to the Head of Product Delivery, you will champion user experience design across all of our digital products including a mix of commercial, e-commerce and more traditional marketing sites, servicing a nationwide audience of both B2C and B2B users. As a Lead UX Designer, your daily duties will include:
An overall active involvement with the Head of Product in reviewing the commercial and digital strategy and assisting them with building meticulous project plans and scopes to support this
Developing your own user insights, including regular usability testing.
Identifying and prioritising UX pain points across the various products.
Creating user stories and detailed customer journeys.
Developing concepts, wireframes and designs for website improvements, in-line with the product roadmaps.
Validating user journeys and designs with internal stakeholders and end-users.
Creating all project documentation (including project plans, statements of work, status reports). To be a successful Lead UX Designer, you will have the following skills and experiences:
A degree in design, HCI or related discipline is beneficial but not essential.
Previous experience of UX design across web, mobile and app.
An impressive portfolio of work that demonstrates expert skill in user-centred design solutions with measurable results.
A track-record of creating intuitive site functionality, interaction, site architecture, user interfaces & navigation.
Excellent visual design & typography skills.
The ability to bring your designs to life using front-end components such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Strong knowledge of popular frameworks, libraries and build systems. In return, a Lead Designer will receive a salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum.
