Finance Director (Production) Warrington £75k + Package

Huxley Engineering and a Multi-£Bn Global Name Industrial Process & Production are looking to recruit a Finance Director on permanent basis for their large Production facility in the Warrington area.

Reporting into the Managing Director, the role of the Finance Director is to drive and deliver the business strategy, ensuring the maximisation of profitable growth and other key financial indicators, and actively participate as a member of the Executive team, providing accurate, timely and insightful analysis and information on the financial aspects of the business.

The Key Accountabilities of the Finance Director Role are:

* Complete responsibility for and management of all financial aspects of the business, including the reporting, budgeting, forecasting and long term planning processes, to deliver business strategy.

* Provide financial information and advice that is consistent, accurate, and meets the requirements of UK legislation, business reporting requirements, and the business, so that relevant decisions can be made

* Contribute to business' strategic process, including ongoing development and successful implementation.

* Provide analysis of the financial performance of the market place and advise on its implications for the business.

* Manage the Finance team, including setting objectives and training and development, so that they are able to contribute to the delivery of the strategy and departmental targets.

* Guide Operations and Supply Chain with effective analysis on cost behaviour and support Sales / Marketing with advice on pricing strategy for market entry, share and profitability.

* Work closely with other functions within the business to ensure that all costs and commercial agreements are fully analysed and understood, to drive profitability improvement.

* Provide financial information and advice on opportunities for mergers, acquisitions, and disposal of assets.

* Support the Continuous Improvement Manufacturing programme through the provision of financial information / expertise and drive finance-lead projects.

* Be the "Cost Reduction Champion" within the business.

* Maximise cash preservation and generation.

* Minimise overdue debt and constantly drive improvements in credit control service.

* Evaluate and advise on new trading agreements for top customers to ensure customer profitability is maximised whilst promoting sales growth and strengthening relationships.

* Manage the business risk process, so that risks are identified, internal controls are robust, and Group requirements delivered.

* Act as Competition Law compliance officer for the business.

* Liaise with the business Company Secretary on relevant matters.

Knowledge and Experience Required for Finance Director Role:

* Knowledge of current accounting practice and legal requirements

* Understanding of the business and the links to financial performance

* Knowledge of IT systems to maximise information efficiency and effectiveness (ideally SAP)

* Proven finance experience within a manufacturing business at a senior level

* Audit / internal control implementation

* Financial accounting
