Software Engineer (Cyber Security)

Software Engineer required for a large engineering organisation based in the South West. You will be charged with providing In-Service Engineering Support to complex Computer Information Systems - including assessing security risk and providing advice on suitable control measures.

We are interested in hearing from professionals with HNC level qualifications or above in Computing and Systems Development. Ideally with a HM Government recognised certification for cyber-security, the candidate will have experience in any of the following disciplines:

* General Cyber Security

* Digital Forensics

* Computer Science for Cyber Security

* Computer Network and Internet Security

This position requires good knowledge of threats and how they might be delivered in order to offer advice and ultimately be responsible for managing and co-ordinating suitable control measures to minimise the risk.

An excellent communicator, you will be able to articulate complex arguments for a wide range of stakeholders to understand. You will be able to demonstrate that you can drive issues to completion with an enthusiasm to continuing your professional development.

Security Requirements

The successful candidate must hold/be able to obtain DV (Developed Vetting) clearance. You will be able to start the role with Security Clearance initially whilst the DV process takes place.
