You’ll become skilled at finding cyber threats.
And skilled at protecting the country.
At GCHQ, our mission is to use cutting-edge tech to protect Britain from ever-evolving threats. It’s incredibly varied work, as Britain’s infrastructure, businesses and way of life are constantly targeted. By gathering information and analysing communications, our organisation aims to stop this, which means you’ll have one of the most unique, challenging and interesting careers there is to offer.
We also lead the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), which helps to prevent, disrupt and investigate cybercrime and threats. As a Trainee Intrusion Analyst, you’ll work closely with the intelligence community and law enforcement agencies. To keep up with ever-evolving threats, you’ll use datasets to understand malicious capabilities and intentions, and respond to them. Working both collaboratively and independently, you’ll help a variety of customers with a range of problems. In this role you’ll hit the ground running - whilst you’ll receive continuous training throughout, you won’t participate on a formal 18-month training programme.
To join us, you’ll need a minimum of five GCSEs, grade A-C (including maths and English), or equivalent. Keen to learn more, you’ll have a real curiosity for tech and proactively keep up with new trends. And with excellent communication skills, you’ll work well in a team.
In return, you’ll become part of a supportive team and enjoy a healthy work-life balance. Plus, you’ll know that you’re helping to protect the nation.
