Key Qualifications
- Extensive experience as a QA Engineer
- Able to work independently and should be dedicated
- Proven ability to own a complete functional area of an application or product
- Validated understanding of SQA methodologies & practices
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
-Comfortable with working on hardware and in supporting engineering in debugging/reproducing hard to reproduce issues
- Deep understanding of OS concepts in UNIX, Linux, and/or Mac OS X
- Scripting skills in any of the following: Perl, Python, Shell, JavaScript, Ruby
- Experience testing of mobile devices on cellular technologies (LTE/UMTS/CDMA/) and Wireless WiFi/BT
- Thrive in a collaborative environment and can clearly communicate while expertly driving multiple projects across many teams
- Obsessively passionate and inquisitive, and seek to solve everyday problems in innovative ways
- Laser-focused on the smallest details that are important to our customers
Description
The WTE Quality team is looking for a motivated, highly technical Telephony QA Engineer with excellent problem solving and communication skills. You will join a dynamic team responsible for qualifying the latest Wireless products.
Your focus will be testing Cellular/ LTE/WiFi/ BT functionality in Apple’s innovative devices. You will complete both documented and ad hoc testing to ensure high quality releases.
Education
Ideally a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
Additional Requirements
Experience in automating phone testing
C/C++/ObjC/Swift coding experience a plus
This role may require occasional international travel/transatlantic travel
