Java Developer - Sheffield - 3 Months

Position: Senior Java Developer (Contract)

Length of contract: 3 Months

When do they want people to start: Immediately or 2 weeks' time

Location: Sheffield (Potential to work fully remote if needed)

Rate: Negotiable - Will sumbit at rates desired.

My client are looking for a Senior Java developer to work as part of a global team, building connectors for SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration) as part of a new implementation for a global e-commerce platform using Hybris E-Commerce

There will likely be a requirement to help train / mentor the future operations team to maintain the platform that is to be built.

As a Senior Developer you can expect to:

* Be a trusted advisor: Understand the requirements and effectively communicate features and limitations in the context of design and development decisions

* Help manage the design and development process, drive decisions, and coordinate efforts with fellow teammates

* Designs applications that are in compliance with specifications & standards

* Develop new applications and further develop current software

* Support users by developing documentation and assistance tools

* Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and new technologies and presenting these for architectural review

What we're looking for:

* 5+ years of experience with Java

* 3+ years of experience with Spring frameworks

* 3+ years of experience with NoSQL, hibernate and SQL

* Experience with Agile Software Methodology

* Experience with REST, SOAP Web service and API development

* Knowledge of Java IDEs and source control management

* Skilled with translating requirements into clean, efficient, quality code

* Object oriented analysis and design using common design patterns

* Excellent communication, organizational and problem solving skills

* Enjoy working collaboratively with a team, while also possessing a strong independent work ethic

* Desire to learn new skills and grow competencies

Experience in these areas a plus:

* Experience with integration platforms like SAP's Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) / Mule Soft / Dell Boomi or similar

* Experience with E-commerce solutions like Hybris E-commerce
