This independent software company based in central Bristol is looking to recruit an IT Systems Manager.

Responsible for:

- Working closely with managed hosting provider to support their SaaS network and infrastructure

- Management of all internal networks and infrastructure in conjunction with IT supplier

- Internal IT projects in conjunction with IT supplier

- Information Governance management including overseeing compliance with ISO27001

Primary Objectives:

- Proactively direct and manage service from all technology suppliers ensuring alignment with company strategy and achievement of agreed business objectives

- Work closely with managed hosting provider to administer client SaaS applications and associated networks and infrastructure

- Day to day management of all internal networks and infrastructure including monitoring, capacity management, reporting and investigation

- Oversee all change management and audit activities in relation to internal environment and application environment

- Ensure proper administration of firewall, anti-malware, terminal servers, back-ups, business software and all hardware including mobile devices

- Research and implement new products/technologies, including servers, operating systems, system management and storage systems

- Management of Information Security Management System as per ISO27001

Skills and Experience:

- Network & Security principles and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, Firewalls, load balancers)

- Cisco LAN and WAN networking (firewall and associated rules and traffic management, Cisco Firepower, Cisco Mobility)

- SQL Server Management and Database Administration

- Management of SaaS application environments including micro services

- Remote VPN

- Windows Server technologies like Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DFS, WSUS, SCCM

- Microsoft Server management experience - certified MCSE

- Office 365 and G-Suite Administration including Security and Compliance

- Exchange

- Logging, monitoring and auditing tooling and management

- Managing policies and processes as per ISO27001

Person Specification

- Excellent people skills and ability to collaborate well with third parties to achieve business objectives

- Highly organized with ability to manage multiple projects

- A proactive nature

- Ability to communicate ideas and concepts effectively with both technical and non-technical persons
