PHP Developer

My Client are looking for a skilled PHP and MySQL developer to work alongside existing staff to maintain and build on the systems we have in place. Most of the Clients applications are bespoke developed, so being able to pick up PHP without relying on a framework is a must, and experience developing and consuming APIs is essential.

Main Activities

-Develop and maintain php applications

-Solve problems swiftly but be sure to maintain quality

-Organise code in a way that is clear, logical, and simple to modify

-Ensure that code has been tested prior to release

Responsibility

-Ensuring accurate code is developed and released

-Peer reviewing code, to hold each other accountable for quality of development

Required knowledge and skills

-Experience as a PHP developer developing APIs

-Experience working with MySQL

-Be able to work on projects as part of a team, and independently

-Comfortable working with both legacy and new code

-Comfortable working without a framework and working on bespoke php

Desirable

-Experience of agile workflow

-Experience working on high traffic web applications

-Experience working with large mySQL databases
