About The People Transformation Team
The People Transformation at Tesco is about earning the trust of our people in a simple and helpful way. For our people to focus on giving customers a great experience of shopping at Tesco we must give them a great experience of working for Tesco.
This is an end-to-end transformation; starting with listening to our colleagues, designing a future-state operating model and deploying world class digital products, through to implementing the transformation to deliver a cultural change alongside strong business benefits.
The Transformation will involve many aspects of change. Example work-streams include establishing the listening channels for the experience journeys our people live through while working at Tesco, designing the shared service operating model, digital product ownership for all People Systems, Change Management, Improving Data Privacy governance and process.
About The Colleague Data Team
Establishing colleague data is the necessary foundation to managing a large transient workforce. The Colleague Data team underpins all streams of work in the People Transformation, providing a roadmap which supports the need for data now and in the future.
The Colleague Data Privacy team focus on protecting colleague data, delivering our privacy obligations. It delivers the colleague and internal privacy policies to deliver a strategy for colleague data use, managing the communication to stakeholders and ensuring compliance across business units. It champions the reduction of systems complexity and solutions and defines the systems requirements, capability improvement to determine how Tesco will get value from data now and in the future.
The Colleague Data team provide accessible and accurate colleague data to support business decisions. The Data Roadmap supports our Digital Products and Operating Model plans. The focus is to turn data into actionable insights for business users.
Whilst specific responsibilities will be dependent upon the changing needs of the Tesco business, the following provides an overview of the role's key responsibilities and measures:
*Build project business cases (incl. agreeing scope and objectives) and identify critical success factors
*Build on the project plan, subsequently tracking and reporting progress to the governance forum
*Manage key stakeholders and dependencies to establish ways of working and alignment of approaches
*Set up project/team budgeting, planning and deliverable creation processes, to ensure expectations are clearly established and standards followed
*Identify and manage project risks and issues, escalating where appropriate
*Implement projects on time and on budget
*Capture lessons learned in conjunction with team members and other key stakeholders and produce actionable next steps
*Be the key point of contact for stakeholders across the relevant functions relating to people data errors and cleansing
*Front-facing role within the data migration team, able to train others on data cleansing requirements
*Build relationships and influence senior stakeholders across the relevant functions to ensure data and pay errors are cleansed and maintained
*Design training and communication methods relevant to various functions across the business
*Play a key role in supporting our team's ambition to turn data into insight and action, by interpreting data to recommend actions, and by coming up with insightful ways to present information to drive better decisions
*Advise the People Transformation team on system and solution improvements for colleague data
*This role will best suit an individual who is detail oriented, is well organised, a logical thinker with an inquisitive mind
*Ability to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
*Experience of displaying and sharing detailed information with stakeholders across multiple business functions
*Strong initiative, and ability to work on multiple projects
*Building a credible network to influence key decision makers across the business and Transformation programme
*Natural planner looking ahead, identifying potential concerns and meeting deadlines
*Ability to make complex issues simple to understand with simple and engaging commentary
*Ability to develop strong communication and training methods on data cleansing that are fit for each area of the business
*Ability to keep consideration for the colleague at the forefront of stakeholders' minds whilst achieving the project goals
*Relentless drive to land a comprehensive data migration process for the People Transformation programme
*Project Management experience from concept to implementation within a complex large organisation framework is desirable
