My client based in Edinburgh has a requirement for an Oracle DBA. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an internationally recognised client on an initial 6 month contract.

Key Skills & Background

* Oracle Database versions 8i,9i,10g,11g,12c

* Oracle Exadata Server

* Oracle Enterprise Manager version 11,12, 13

* Oracle Audit Vault version 10,12

* Knowledgeable in the application and use of ITIL best practice and CobiT controls.

Essential

* Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge in one or more specialist areas.

* Providing technical leadership to less experienced colleagues, but without line management responsibility.

* Communicating complex technical solutions effectively to a variety of stakeholders.

* Ensuring business and technology requirements are balanced and an appropriate commercial approach is applied to technical solutions.

* Building effective relationships with a range of stakeholders, including with sourcing partners.

* Applying detailed technical knowledge and skills to resolve complex or high profile incidents as they occur to maintain IT service continuity.

* Proactively maintaining existing systems in line with relevant standards and controls to ensure the provision of IT services.

* Identifying and eliminating the root cause of systems issues to avoid repetition of problems and improve the overall quality of the IT service.
