Project Manager - Manchester / London - 3-month rolling contract

Project Manager required to join a multinational technology company on an initial 3 month contract based in Manchester / Camden, with 5% travel to either location.

The ideal candidate will come from an entrepreneurial/SME background as helpful as corporate innovation.

They would have worked on innovation projects or projects with less structure and hard commitments than typical PRINCE2 engagements

Key responsibilities

* Lead innovation project delivery: shape proposition, coordinate and drive forward project partner contributions, coordinate the client's project contribution including technical (leading between 1-3 projects, depending on complexity)

* Advocate for the projects inside and outside the organisation.

* Build internal relationships required to ensure successful project delivery.

* Coordinate resources (hardware, subcontractor contributions)

* Lead quarterly project reviews with government

* Liaise with the client's Innovation marketing and communications for project dissemination

* Work with Commercialisation/Business Development lead within the organisation to aid project commercialisation.

* Provide updates and content as required to the Head of Innovation Delivery.

* Other tasks as required from time to time by the Head of Innovation Delivery.

Technical skills required

Must have:

* Project Management qualification and experience. E.g. PRINCE2

* Good written communication skills

* Good problem-solving creativity

* Project management qualification or relevant experience

* Bachelor's degree

* Excellent time-management and organisation

* Good MS Office skills, particularly Word and Excel

* Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with people in the team and external partners
