A leader in silicon photonics based interconnect solutions with headquarter in Berlin is looking for an Analog IC Layout Engineer to join their team to work on the Layout of integrated optical transceiver chips for data centres.
As a Photonics IC Layout Engineer you will work on the layout and floor planning of new IC designs in a cadence environment and in cooperation with the electronic IC design group at transistor level as well as component level of the photonic development kit including DRC rule definition, LVS routines and PCell programming.
You will create the layouts and floor plans of integrated silicon photonics circuits (optical waveguides) and devices, program active and passive building-blocks for C-band- and O-band applications, develop components for photonic development kits, including DRC rules and LVS as well as define and design methodologies and design environments.
As the successful Layout Engineer you are at least Master's degree qualified and have at least 5 years of experience in PIC design flow from specification to tape-out. You have solid knowledge of chip-level photonic design principles including the ability to define, specify, and test photonic building blocks, incl. DRC and LVS routines. You also have extensive experience with a variety of PIC design tools.
