Node.JS Developer - Remote Working

We’re looking for a back-end or full stack JavaScript developer to help create the most helpful digital money account. Ever.

With a team with varied backgrounds, our FinTech client have worked for well-known companies and organisations such as UNHCR, London School of Economics, British Airways, Royal Bank of Scotland, and Riot Games.

Tech stack is made up of Node.js, Mongo, Express, MySQL, Redis, Vue/Angular on the front-end, AWS, GCP, Jest, and we use Gulp and Webpack to build.

The ideal candidate will have:

Strong experience with Javascript (ES5/6)

Strong experience with Node.js

You love working with NoSQL and SQL DB’s (Mongo/MySQL) and you know the difference of when to use each

You have tons of experience in writing, testing, and consuming APIs (REST and SOAP)

Secure APIs are second nature to you

Good fundamentals of clean code, clean design, and data structures

AWS Experience (EC2/ELB/Route53)

You are proactive, self-managing, and comfortable assuming full ownership of your builds

You have experience in TDD/Unit Testing

Linux experience is a bonus

Distributed systems is a bonus

GCP is a bonus

The ideal JavaScript developer with be experienced, talented and driven lead back-end engineer to hit the ground running in developing our core systems that are responsible for integrating to banking partners and serving secure, well tested API’s to the mobile apps, as well as maintaining and improving their unique USSD financial education platform for emerging markets.
