I have an excellent opportunity available for a Software Development Director for my rapidly expanding client who are a pioneering company within Fingerprint Sensing technology. The role is based in Hampshire and comes with a base salary of £80k-£100k (Dependent on experience) plus bonus and benefits.

My client's technology is based on a fundamentally unique architecture that delivers form factor flexibility and superior cost-performance characteristics and the market represents a fast-growing multi-billion unit opportunity.

They are looking for someone with excellent people skills, business acumen and a flexible hands-on approach who is capable of building and leading a small existing team of world class Software Engineers and who has extensive embedded Software and Firmware experience.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Build and lead a world class team of Software engineers

Provide technical direction and exert technical influence over multiple team

Implement best in class Agile development processes

Develop new hires and mentor existing staff

Develop short and long term roadmaps

Required experience:

Director or Senior Management experience leading a distributed global teamAble to develop a vision that extends beyond current capabilities

Advanced knowledge of software engineering practices, techniques and technology trends.

Extensive embedded Firmware development experience

Experience in using Atlassian tool suite such as Bitbucket and Bamboo

Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
