Role Overview

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our fast growing litigation finance business based in Liverpool Street in our dynamic office with a fun and entrepreneurial culture.

Reporting directly to the MD your initial responsibility will be for the design, development and implementation of the centralised database, together with the development of "user portals" and web / mobile application providing restricted views of client accounts and data tools.

As a Developer at SFS, you’ll be:

                               Working with a high degree of autonomy

                               Designing, developing and implementing new functionality

                               Monitoring our systems to ensure they stay online

Your Skills

We are looking for a candidate with a creative spark and a desire to succeed. You will be part of a small, fun but dedicated team so you will have to have experience working collaboratively with colleagues from various backgrounds including compliance, finance, legal and marketing. You should be creative and confident with finding solutions to unusual problems, and meticulous in your standards.

You will be responsible for all elements of front and back end development including development of the database so we would expect you to have at least 5 years of experience. Your technical skills should include:

- In-depth knowledge of front end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and other JavaScript frameworks and toolkits i.e Node.js, AngularJS etc

- In-depth knowledge one or more SQL technology i.e. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL etc.

- In-depth knowledge of a server-side scripting language such as PHP, ASP.NET etc.

- Experience in developing a RESTful API

- Experienced in MVC development

- Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies or equivalent

- Collaborative team member with strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Experience with configuring web servers such as Apache and nginx etc.

- Good knowledge of distributed source control such as GIT or equivalent

- Good knowledge of OWASP secure development practices

The ideal candidate will have an extensive portfolio to demonstrate experience.
