ABOUT BURBERRY BUSINESS SERVICES

Burberry's new office in Leeds opened in October 2017. The operation, called Burberry Business Services, brings together shared service teams from the UK, Europe, Middle East, India and Africa. The office is Burberry's centre of excellence for Finance, HR, Procurement, Customer Service and IT functions.

JOB PURPOSE

The IT Asset Management Analyst will be responsible for monitoring and tracking Burberry's global software and hardware asset lifecycle. The Analyst will be expected to understand all aspects of the lifecycle from licensing and renewals to demand and decommissioning.

The IT Asset Management Analyst will be responsible for purchasing and administration tasks for the IT Asset Management team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Collaborate with the IT Asset Manager to design the asset management processes, ensuring that assets are effectively managed across their entire lifecycle

* Responsible for software and hardware asset management, but expected to specialise in software asset management

* Responsible for IT Asset Management Purchase Requisitions and Stock Management

* Establish a governance approach over software and hardware assets by working collaboratively with the Asset Management team to create and document processes, policy, and procedures across Burberry's software and hardware estate

* Track, record and maintain assets within BMC Remedy in-line with all policy, process and principles

* Select and use device management tools to pull reports (BMC Remedy, Casper, AirWatch, SCCM and SmartTrack)

* Build and maintain relationships with third party partners to ensure Burberry obtains the best value for money on quotes and orders

* Ensure licensing and maintenance agreements are managed in adherence with agreed SLAs

* Enable the achievement of the Asset Management team's KPIs

* Triage Asset Management email / ticket system requests and validate customer requirements

* Analyse purchase information to establish an accurate and complete summary of license entitlements

* Reconcile entitlements (based upon Product Use Rights, rules, allowances, etc. they embody) with asset inventory information (baseline position) to produce a compliance summary (gap analysis)

* Understanding of Product Use Rights, license allowances, and contractual entitlements for software and hardware products and manufacturers)

* Provide monthly and ad-hoc reporting on asset management and Effective License Position

* Provide input and feedback on current and future licence standards and initiatives as it relates to regional activity

* Collect and manage SAM-related information from suppliers and manufacturers

* Participate in software and hardware audits as necessary

PERSONAL PROFILE

* Extensive knowledge of software asset management tools such as BMC Remedy

* Understanding and familiarity with SCCM, Casper, Aspera SmartTrack and Airwatch useful but not essential.

* Good knowledge of ITIL Service Delivery Processes (preferably with formal certification)

* Experience in software installation and software inventory systems such as Microsoft's SCCM (desirable)

* Knowledge of one or more of the following vendors a distinct advantage: Microsoft, Adobe, SAP, VMWare

* Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information succinctly and concisely

* Presents a welcoming attitude to change and adjusts dynamically to continuous business change and improvement

* Proactively takes on different activities in line with business needs
