Help us envisage the future success of the UK

At an exciting period in time, the Department for Exiting the European Union (DExEU) is working to ensure Britain’s EU negotiations are on track to get the best deal for the UK - and put in place a deep and special relationship with the EU, so that we continue to work well together for years to come. The Strategic Management Office within DExEU is central to these talks, and it is here that you could join us as a Risk and Performance Analyst.

Supporting the team’s remit to facilitate decision making by planning and managing policy and operational risks, we ensure everyone is working together collaboratively to produce the best results. As such, we identify challenges and gaps in knowledge that may impinge on senior leaders’ planning capabilities, providing the evidence they need to define and develop solutions. Taking a key role in our risk management capabilities, you will therefore support your departmental colleagues in resolving and managing these challenges, communicating your findings and advising senior leadership on the best way to handle them. Ensuring a variety of stakeholders such as the Government Internal Audit Agency and National Audit Office are involved in these processes, you will also take responsibility for implementing an up-to-date risk management framework - thereby ensuring we have considered and prepared for every eventuality.

To thrive in this varied and dynamic role, you will utilise your excellent people management skills to bring the best out of more junior colleagues. With relevant experience and qualifications for the role, you will be able to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. Furthermore, your flexible approach to work will be complemented by your ability to make decisions under pressure. You will also enjoy forging new relationships that will be beneficial to the entire team, and will have outstanding verbal and written communication skills. In turn, we can offer you flexible working arrangements with a generous salary and a desirable benefits package that includes 25 days of holiday, 8 bank holidays and a contributory pension scheme.

This is a unique opportunity to play an important part in shaping the UK’s future, so if you are enthusiastic about ensuring Britain continues to flourish in this unique environment, then you’ll be a welcome addition to our proactive and creative team.
