We are growing as a team, having proven the product. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help with development as we scale the business, make the application self -serve and continue to innovate.

Main Responsibilities:

Write well-designed, testable code across the entire stack, following best practices

Write and fix test suites

Work through the whole software development life cycle

Troubleshoot and debug existing software

Document and maintain new functionality

Contribute to evolving the product by studying business needs, conferring with users and other team members

Work closely with other developers and people across teams to achieve personal and business goals

Understand business needs and know how to create the software to manage them

Work closely with system engineers on issues regarding infrastructure

Other Duties:

Contribute to the evolution of our business by coming up with business experiments

Support and develop software engineers by sharing knowledge, providing technical advice, and educational opportunities

Be an independent and proactive problem solver

Help the team with recruitment efforts

Essential:

We are full-stack developers and have a full-time UI/UX designer. While your focus will be primarily back-end, you should have an appreciation of UI and write code end-to-end. The right candidate will have:

Excellent knowledge of backend programming languages. Python preferred, but Java, C#, Javascript (NodeJS), PHP also considered

Experience with any major Javascript framework: React, AngularJS/Angular2, Backbone etc.

Good understanding of search or database technologies e.g. MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Data Warehousing, ETL, SOLR/Elastic Search

Version control (Git)

Linux/Bash/AWS

Experience with advertising technology (RTB, DMP, DSP, etc) a plus

Qualifications:

Commercial experience as a software engineer

Scrum/Kanban background

Degree in computer science or equivalent experience

The successful candidate will be an excellent team player and have:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail

A hunger for knowledge, always keen to learn new technologies and new tools
