Proteus Europe is searching for a Junior Software Developer with experience in Java for a permanent position based in Dublin, Ireland

This is a great opportunity to join a team working on a world class analytics platform to deliver new updates, visualisations, and integrations on a monthly cycle in a responsive and agile environment.
In this close-knit team of bright, versatile, tech-loving engineers, you will design, develop, and test new features for the product, which will involve close collaboration with product management and other teams to ensure timely delivery while not sacrificing quality. We’re multidisciplinary, and features typically involve server side and front-end development, as well as integrations with our own or 3rd Party APIs over REST or WS. Your job will be as much creative as it is technical, and you’ll be responsible for making the right technological decisions to build new features.
Your Skills and experience :-
Essential Skills :-
Third Level Computer Science or Computer Engineering Degree (2.1 or equivalent)
1 years relevant industry experience
Deep knowledge of ideally Java or Python, or other high level language
Client side Javascript w/ JQuery including JSON over AJAX
HTML/CSS
Test Automation unit/integration
Desirable Skills :-
WS web-services i.e. XML, WSDL and XSD, and Java and/or Python ecosystems
Angular JS / Javascript Visualisation libraries i.e. highcharts / D3
Database design and SQL
Project management: designing, planning, estimating, reporting of progress
User-interface testing with Selenium
