Senior Hardware / Firmware Design Engineer - Hampshire, GU31 - Video Processing Hardware delivery.

Key Requirements: VHDL / Verilog targeting Altera/Xilinx + Modelsim, DSP implementation, Video/Audio formats.

A thriving Business providing hardware and software products and services to broadcast and media markets seeks a bright Design Engineer with expert VHDL / Verilog experience, good DSP design implementation skills and ideally with some C/C++ and Python programming abilities.

Due to expansion of the hardware products team you will play a key part in the delivery of sophisticated video processing hardware. The successful Firmware Developer will implement designs in VHDL targeting the latest Intel devices, with involvement in the full life cycle including the implementation of novel video signal processing algorithms.

The successful Design Engineer will also be involved with Hardware development, so experience in PCB layout and schematic capture are key requirements. As a good team player with significant embedded hardware experience, you will be familiar with VHDL/ModelSim to implement digital signal processing as well as having some knowledge of audio / video design, Python and Verilog.

A good academic background is essential, with a minimum of a 2.1 Honours Degree in Electronics, Computer Science or Mathematics.
