Position: Maintenance Electrical Technician - weekend shifts (32hrs per week)

Location: Poole, Dorset

Salary: 32000 - 35000 per annum

Job type: Permanent

Basic is 27398, production bonus is variable but approx. 1920 per annum (paid monthly). Shift pay is variable depending on how many nights and days worked but should equate to approx. 3750.

After probation they could then qualify for an extra 1285 - 2206 approx in addition to what they already get.

Normally plenty of opportunity for overtime during the week if they want it so can earn extra that way too and as they are only contracted for 32 hours often want to do extra too.

The successful candidate will be required to work 32hrs per week, shift pattern below.

Week 1 Fri 2-10pm, Sat 10am-10pm, Sun 10am-10pm

Week 2 Fri 10pm-10am, Sat 10pm-10am, Mon 6am-2pm

(Friday and Monday hours or days may be changed by request/mutual agreement).

They should be a time served Electrician/Electrical Technician and a HNC in a relevant subject would be an advantage. They should have proven experience in the maintenance of modern complex electrical control systems, incorporating PLCs, hydraulics and pneumatics.

A genuine multi skilled approach together with the ability to work independently and as part of a skilled maintenance team is essential.

Core abilities to include pro-active maintenance, fault diagnosis and rectification, all within time sensitive constraints. Experience in a similar industry/working environment preferred.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Non-negotiable skills:

They should have proven experience in the maintenance of modern complex electrical control systems, incorporating PLCs, hydraulics and pneumatics.

Need the candidate to hit the ground running - they need to be employed in a similar capacity already, preferrably within a similar industry

Ability to conduct proactive maintenance and faulr finding under time sensitive constraints.

Working hours:

32 hours per week, shifts as below:

Week 1 Fri 2-10pm, Sat 10am-10pm, Sun 10am-10pm

Week 2 Fri 10pm-10am, Sat 10pm-10am, Mon 6am-2pm

KEY SKILLS:

Electrical/Maintenance apprenticeship, HNC would be an advantage
