RESPONSIBILITIES

* Acting as the main point of contact, both for the procuring authority and internally.

* Project managing the bid through its various stages, ensuring that the appropriate inputs are received, reviewed and submitted, and that all activities are completed according to the company's standards and in line with the bid management methodology.

This will include:-

1 Ensuring that the appropriate bid control documentation is completed, uploaded to our SharePoint site and that information is recorded on the CRM;

2 Responsible for the bid kick-off meeting and for the organisation of all subsequent meetings, calls, demos, site visits etc;

3 Responsibility for ensuring that written Tender Responses are completed, produced and submitted at all stages of the procurement (e.g. Pre-Qualification Questionaire (PQQ), Invitation to Tender (ITT), Best and Final Offer (BAFO) etc.);

4 Management of all bid documents, ensuring that the shared document repository (Sharepoint) is kept up-to-date;

5 Tracking any risks, issues and lessons learned to improve our win rate.

* Writing/authoring content.

This includes:-

1 Providing company & product/service information, based on personal knowledge,information learned (e.ge. via product demos or consultation with colleagues), and/or information previously provided and available in the bid library;

2 Providing bid copy both as "final copy" as well as "prepopulation" intended for subject matter experts to further amend.

3 Review and edit of others' input.

* Communicating closely with colleagues/subject matter experts to ensure the highest possible quality bid is achieved within the deadlines.

This includes liaising with:

1 Sales lead and other staff within the sales team.

2 Commercial, financial & legal specialists.

3 Product & technical specialists.

4 Deployment/resourcing and services/support specialists.

5 Executive team/bid approvers.

6 Third Parties/business partners.

7 Colleagues in the wider bid team.

* Adhering to the relevant approval process.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

This is a senior role requiring a person with experience, credibility, persuasive interpersonal skills, as well as the skills detailed below.

SKILLS REQUIRED

* Excellent writing skills - both creating original copy and rewriting others' copy.

* Domain knowledge - either Healthcare or IT; ideally both.

* Communication skills - both internally and externally.

* Project management and general organisational skills.

* Technical skills (MS Office tools).

* Creative problem solving - understanding the client's requirements, writing responses and liaising with colleagues to ensure that the response is appropriate and acceptable.

* Commercial, legal and financial skills.

* Selling skills (client facing) also an advantage.
