Network Engineer (Trading Support Low Latency Cisco IOS NxOS WAN LAN Unix Linux). Hugely successful global proprietary trading firm is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to be responsible for maintaining a diverse network across several continents. This role will suit a hands on and proactive individual who is able to take on a range of challenging tasks that come their way.

As a Network Engineer you will be joining a small, collaborative team of talented engineers where you will be working with complex and high performance networks across multiple sites. You will be responsible for liaising with third parties to maintain communication lines and data centre infrastructure, as well as being involved in designing networks, providing 2nd/3rd line support, and seeking out low latency solutions for existing networks. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to be involved in a number of interesting upcoming projects within the company, such as switch upgrades and routing/network colour optimisations.

Requirements:

*Understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, MSDP, PIM)

*Multicast production experience

*Experience supporting and troubleshooting low-latency networks

*Excellent knowledge of Cisco IOS/NxOS

*Strong firewall experience

*Knowledge of LAN/WAN

*Previous experience working with complex, high performance networks

*Knowledge of Unix/Linux

*Desirable: Telecommunications background, scripting skills (Python), CCNP certified
