You may not have experience just yet, however you will have A’ levels in Maths or Science and have a real interest or hobbies in technology. As a Trainee Software Developer your duties will include:

                     Working as part of a small friendly team in an agile/scrum format.

                     Being responsible for developing and supporting an ever-expanding range of e-commerce solutions. Working closely with third parties such as Amazon, eBay and Tesco.

                     Logging support calls.

                     Assisting customers with software utilisation.

To be a successful Trainee Software Developer you will have the following skills and experience:

                     Skills

o PHP

o HTML / CSS

o JavaScript

o SQL (MySQL).

                     Desirable

o Linux skills

o Apache.

If you don’t have the above skills just yet but are willing to learn and love technology, full training for your new career will be given.

To succeed as a trainee developer, you must be;

                     IT literate.

                     Have a keen interest in web development.

                     Have a "can do" attitude with the commitment to resolving problems and finishing tasks.

                     Have good verbal and written communication skills.

                     A Levels in science/maths or computer science is required.

                     Must have an interest or hobbies in tech.

Ely’s mainline train station is a brief walk away. You will live within a reasonable commute to the office. The office hours are 37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday.

The salary for the Trainee Software Developer will depend on your experience and range from £15,000 - £25,000 per annum. You will also receive 23 days’ annual leave + bank holidays.
