Embedded Development Engineer  

Manchester, Greater Manchester  

The Company:  

Our client is an innovative manufacturer of solutions to enable safer electrical environments. Their electrical protection, control and safety technologies are known in heavy industries across the world for their high performing nature.  

Due to planned expansion, they are now looking for an Embedded Development Engineer to join their team in Manchester and develop embedded microcontroller and DSP platforms for customers within the Industrial and Utility energy sector.

Your Role:  

As an Embedded Development Engineer, you will be tasked with the full lifecycle development of industrial products that are based upon embedded microcontroller and DSP platforms.  

You will work on leading edge products and technology, involving embedded systems, and will have the chance to get really involved in producing unique and highly sought-after technologies.  

About You:  

To be considered as an Embedded Development Engineer, you will need:  

- At least 12 months’ experience in a developer position  

- High levels of proficiency in C/C++ and assembly programming languages  

- A degree in Electronic Engineering/Computer Science (or similar) with a good understanding of embedded software systems including both analogue and digital circuits 

The ideal candidate will have embedded software development experience under real time operating system (RTOS) environments, experience with software versioning and revision control, and/or awareness of EMC/EMI.
