Support Costs Financial Controller

A leading global recruitment company in Glasgow are seeking a Support Costs Financial Controller to join their team. If you can demonstrate experience of leading global support accounting, then you could be the Support Costs Financial Controller we're looking for.

What will you be doing?

As a Support Costs Financial Controller, you'll be responsible for actively managing the monthly accounts close for all Support Costs adhering to the agreed monthly close timetable. You'll have the ability to produce Insightful monthly management variance reports for both Income statement and Balance sheet, reviewing financial data to draw conclusions and provide insightful commentary.

In addition to this, you'll periodically review central entity balance sheet accounts with a focus on agreed key accounts. In addition, you will report monthly with recommendations and actions to the Head of Management Accounts to ensure risk free and take a lead on actively managing the team in order to clear balances with other departments providing accounting and process guidance.

What skills/experience should you have?

* Extensive knowledge of financial and management reporting essential.

* Previous experience of Cost & Property accounting with a focus on business structure.

* Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to communicate financial matters to non-technical experts and senior members of the group.

* Strong analytical skills with previous experience required in creating and writing commentary for management

* Good MS Excel experience necessary (VLOOKUPS, SUMIF, Pivot Tables) with an excellent standard of formatting

* A good working knowledge of financial systems (ideally SAP, BW & Business Objects)

* Project leading skills and people management will be important

* Resourceful, with excellent communication skills and good attention to detail
