Senior Software Developer

I am partnering with a Global Software House and ISV based in Newcastle upon Tyne who are keen to hire an experienced Senior Software Engineer, ideally with a background building applications with the Microsoft technologies stack and with strong commercial experience.

They are a product-driven organisation, working with a range of blue chip customers and providing SaaS-based solutions to help commercial organisations maximise their revenue in a cost-effective manner.

They recently launched that software to the market and are currently in the midst of a huge greenfield/R&D phase, focusing on the utilisation of emerging technologies to develop a number of new products to add to their ever-expanding suite.

This role will be primarily hands on with the core focus of the role being application development using the core Microsoft .NET stack (.NET Core, C#, ASP.NET MVC, SQL) as well as cloud-based technologies (Azure, AWS) and front end/UI frameworks (Angular2, ReactJS, HTML5). You will also get the opportunity to dabble with cross-platform mobile technologies (Xamarin) and a range of emerging technologies in the AI/IoT space.

Moreover, you will get involved in driving Agile development methodologies and will work with a number of key business stakeholders (Architects, Product Managers, Development Manager, CTO etc.) throughout the full SDLC. However, as a Senior Engineer, you will be expected to mentor/coach more junior members of the team and you will be given a fair amount of autonomy to go out and ensure that projects are completed to the highest possible standard.
