Sage Technical Analyst, Developer - Cape Town

My client is a leading End-User with an extensive presence in South Africa!

We are looking to fill a Technical Anlayst, Developer position in this organisation!

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a reputable end user in Cape Town, for the position of Technical Analyst/Developer, focussing on Sage.

Your central Tasks:

* Implement, maintain, develop and monitor the assigned systems and interfaces to keep them up to date

* Develop solution enhancements to support approved business requests and cover system issues

* Work closely with IT Business and Application Analyst colleagues to understand functional requirements, to perform technical analysis and to translate them into technical solutions

* Interact with IT Business and Application Analyst colleagues and other technical teams to support technical implementations

* Contribute to feasibility studies for technical enhancements in existing applications

* Support application and system testing, create and maintain necessary technical documentation, taking into account security and audit requirements in a traceable manner

* Support users/key users in technical area through an established Service Desk/ticketing system, concentrating on the incident and problem resolution

Preferred Profile and Experience:

* Trained in Sage with good experience in the entire development lifecycle.

* Proven Experience in an Analyst / Developer role

* Deep knowledge of the programming tools and languages

* Team-Player mentality acting as a part of an international and cross-functional team

* Self-motivated with ability to coordinate project tasks and report status/progress

* Ability to work independently based on defined objectives with minimal supervision

* Able to travel and work effectively in remote situations dealing with all levels of the organization

* Strong technical, analytical and conceptual skills
